The impact of technology in modern world war is very significant, changing the way military strategy and interactions between countries. One of the most striking innovations is the use of drones. These drones enable reconnaissance and strike missions without sending military personnel into danger zones. Drones such as the Predator and Reaper have been used in combat operations in various parts of the world, providing great tactical advantages. Communication technology has also experienced extraordinary progress. Satellite communications systems speed up information transmission and coordination between military units. This allows the command to take quick decisions as well as improve responses to unexpected situations on the battlefield. Additionally, the use of mobile apps and devices is increasingly common among soldiers, facilitating the direct exchange of tactical information. On the other hand, the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) is affecting the way military data is analyzed. AI is used in big data processing to predict enemy movements and plan more effective strategies. AI-based analysis systems are able to recognize patterns in enemy behavior, which helps in making more informed decisions. For example, machine learning algorithms can be very useful in intelligence monitoring programs. Cyber weapons are also an important component of modern warfare. Cyber attacks can cripple vital infrastructure without involving physical confrontation. Countries are now more frequently using cyberattacks to damage the communications and financial systems of adversaries’ sons, creating chaos without touching them directly. A well-known example is the cyberattack against Estonia in 2007 which demonstrated the vulnerability of digital activity. Defense technology is also advancing. Laser-based weapon systems and ballistic missiles are now part of the modern arsenal. It improves air defenses to deter threats coming from the air, including missiles and fighter planes. For example, the Iron Dome defense system used by Israel has proven effective in repelling rocket attacks. This rapidly changing technology has both positive and negative impacts. On the one hand, strategic capabilities are increasing, but on the other, warfare is increasingly inhumane and disconnected from traditional consequences. Civilian involvement in conflicts may increase due to inaccurate weapons or undetected attacks. This raises ethical questions about the use of military technology and the responsibilities of the countries involved. Globalization also influences the spread of military technology. Technology transfer between countries, in which developing countries seek to increase their military capabilities, creates a new arms race. This increases global tensions, given that countries with more advanced technology have a huge advantage. The development of robotics in the military offers a glimpse of a future with combat robots and autonomous vehicles. Although it can reduce risks for soldiers, the use of robots in war raises ethical debates regarding decision making in war situations. A number of parties have called for the need for international regulations to regulate the use of this technology. Changes in war strategy, driven by technological advances, demand rapid adaptation from armed forces around the world. Countries must continually invest in research and development to remain competitive in an increasingly tough global arena.
